The medical name for Lice is Pedicullus Humanus Capitis. They are also known as Lice or Nits. Lice are found in all social classes, but mainly affect children under the age of puberty. When treating both children and adults, we find that Lice tend to favour Blood Type 'O'. People with Type 'O' blood seem to be excellent hosts to Lice, possibly because it is the oldest Blood Type and is associated with a predominately meat based diet. Women tend to Lice more than men, as they are more than likely in contact with Lice infested children more than men. Lice are about 3mm in length and have slightly flattened bodies. Female Lice lay the eggs on the hair strands normally around the ears, nape of the neck and the crown area, as these are warmer spots of the head. The eggs take up to 7 days to hatch and are transparent with blue and black parts to their body, like a transparent ant. As they feed off the blood from the scalp, they become darker and grow. Lice can jump about 30cms. They are often choosy as to the scalp they feed off. If they don't like your blood they will stay on your head until you come within jumping distance from another host. Adult Lice live up to 2 to 3 weeks. When they suck the blood from your scalp, it can be quite itchy and/or sore. If you leave Lice untreated for too long there can be an actual build-up of eggs and Lice on the scalp and hair. This can impede the eradication process making it harder to be Lice Free. This may also lead to dermatitis, sores, and itchiness of the scalp. If untreated, this may lead to infection and, in extreme cases, anemia. As puberty begins Lice are less likey to want to feed on the the child's scalp, as their hormones are changing. This will essentially change the nutrients found in the blood. Therefore, the next stage will be for the Lice to find another host; usually another child. Treating a person with Lice can be a long, drawn-out and painful process using the many different chemical products available. After years of research we have found a painless and effective program to eradicate Lice and their eggs for good. The products are completely NATURAL; free of chemicals and pesticides. The products are made from natural substances that no insect will go near. Lice is one of these insects. We have been lucky enough to be able to formulate a Shampoo, Conditioner, and follow-up Spray. We can treat the hair and scalp without causing any of the harsh problems of the traditional Lice products. Our products are pleasant smelling and can be used regularly without irritation. Of course like any product on the market if you do have a reaction to the products please discontinue use. The Egg Eradicator is a heat devise that killes the eggs on the hair without damaging the hair.
