This condition is normally seen around the hair
line and/or an overly oily scalp. It has a
reddish/yellow pimple-like feature, which can be
extremely itchy and scaly. Another name for
this condition, as seen in infants, is 'cradle
cap'. It can also be seen in those going
through puberty, and in rare occasions, adults.
The cause of this condition is overactive
sebaceous glands (oil glands) leading to yeast
infections if not treated. |
