In severe cases the scalp can become extremely itchy and often very painful. Not a nice problem to live with… As with any problem that we deal with, each and every case of Scalp Psoriasis is dealt with unique and individual treatments. In our Clinic we formulate slightly different solutions for each and every case of Psoriasis of the Scalp. We take into consideration skin growing over skin, open wounds, infections, and stress levels, just to name a few causes. We need to look at your environmental allergies, food allergies, whether or not you wear a hat while sweating during sports activities, your genetic make-up, how often you wash your hair, and your PH acid/alkaline level… Your alkaline level is rarely checked in regards to Psoriasis of the Scalp, but it is a very important factor. If the scalp is too acidic you will be prone to many types of afflictions. So, using litmus paper check to see if your alkaline level is 7 or above. If it is lower than 7, you can raise it by merely taking a table spoon per day of bicarbonate soda in water. You can also start taking a product called GREENS that you can buy at most health food stores. This will usually help bring the skin, which is the body’s largest organ, back to a healthy state.
